Coeur D Alene

There are many wonderful communities in Coeur D Alene.  A price range for everyone  from the starter family to the single persons condo, homes on the lake and upper end family homes.  The sky is definitely the limit.  Low crime rate and a great community to grow and live in.  A lot of support for the local events in this community.  I was at the annual lighting of the trees the other night after Thanksgiving.  The parade and a huge fireworks display put on by the resort.  Beautiful the streets were lined with spectators (in the pouring rain) it was horrible that night but the streets were full anyway in support!  

We put on the iron man triathlon in the spring you will find that is when a lot of the locals go to the lake and rent out there personal homes if they live anywhere near the downtown area.  There are families that have supplemented there income for years doing that.  And its a win win.  The athletes get a home to use as there own and our local lakes will be full of campers enjoying the wonderful attributes of having so many different lakes to choose from.  

 

You will find that for just about any cause this is a wonderful community to live in.  The local chamber of commerce is a great place to subscribe to the weekly events to catch.  Be it the farmers markets or the art walks downtown.  Car shows you name it we celebrate it.  

 

Our Real Estate Market saw some big jumps during the initial jump of the housing market and we had a pretty good crash.  We have rebounded the last couple of years and are seeing good steady increases in our property values now.  I would say our market is pretty stable and depending on the price range you are shopping its going to fluctuate on either being a buyers or sellers market.  The entry level homes are seeing a  lot of action and it is definitly a sellers market out there right now for them.  The 250k price range is moving steady as long as the home is a good value.  The 350-450 price range still has some catching up to do but even that market is moving.  Still a lot of inventory on the market in that price range its going to be a while before that one is where it needs to be.  And the higher end is pretty value driven.  The extra value is still probably going to move and if your not motivated you may be hanging onto that property for another year.
